Scientific Materials Corportation
Scientific Materials Corp. (SMC) was incorporated in 1989 for the purpose of developing high quality crystal growth technology. At SMC, it is firmly believed that developing crystal growth and fabrication by scientific methods, in place of the traditional artistic method, will enable SMC to become the leader in quality and performance in the rapidly expanding opto-electronic materials market.

Scientific Materials Corp. is located in Bozeman, Montana near the campus of Montana State University. This area provides a high level of environmental stability, as well as accessibility to a quality labor force. Over the past three years, SMC has experienced growth in both production and research in excess of 30% per year. The current growth patterns are resulting in a doubling of the size of the business every three years.
